Luca Kovács research assistant About Me I graduated from the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Pécs with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, followed by a Master’s degree in Health Care Management. I am currently a PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of Health Sciences. I joined Cochrane Hungary in September 2024. As a research assistant, I contribute to various projects within our team and also take part in translation work. Ildikó Gabriella Csölle assistant professor About Me I earned my Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Pécs. I completed my second degree as an Agricultural Engineer in Food Quality Assurance at the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, University of West Hungary, and I also hold a postgraduate qualification from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Pécs. I am currently a PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of Health Sciences, University of Pécs. I joined Cochrane Hungary on January 1, 2024. As a assistant lecturer and researcher, I actively contribute to the academic and science communication activities of Cochrane Hungary, as well as several research projects within our team. László Czina research supporter/research librarian About Me I graduated with a Master's degree in Philosophy from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Pécs in 2009, and earned a postgraduate diploma as a Library Specialist in 2023. Judit Németh, Dr. research fellow About Me I graduated from the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Pécs with a degree in Recreation Organization and Health Promotion, and later obtained my Master's degree at the Faculty of Sciences in 2013. I received my PhD in 2026 from the Doctoral School of Health Sciences at the University of Pécs. Since October 2024, I have been working as a junior research fellow at Cochrane Hungary. In addition to evidence synthesis, my research and professional interests include ethical and moral issues in healthcare, as well as lifestyle medicine. Research Topics

Okba Hatem, Dr. research associate professor About Me I graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Latakia, Syria, in 2015. After graduation, I began my career as a community pharmacist and later pursued a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Food Control, which I completed in 2019. During my master’s studies, I worked as a university teaching assistant for several pharmaceutical courses and also served as a medical sales representative. In 2025, I obtained my PhD in Health Sciences from the University of Pécs, Hungary, where my doctoral research focused on the potential health effects of bioactive components in the diet. Following the completion of my PhD, I joined Cochrane Hungary as a research fellow. Our work at Cochrane involves conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses to support evidence-based medicine and enhance healthcare decision-making.

Zsolt Kristóf Bali research associate professzor About Me I graduated with a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Pécs in 2010 and pursued doctoral studies in neuroscience, obtaining my PhD in 2016. Following my doctorate, I worked for another ten years as a research fellow in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience research. Alongside my research, I taught courses in general biology, physiology, and neurobiology to psychology and biology students. I joined Cochrane Hungary in 2026. In addition to synthesizing medical evidence, I am particularly interested in methodological and statistical questions. | ||
Gábor Tárkányi, Dr. research associate professor About Me I earned my Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Semmelweis University in 2018. During my studies, I worked with the National Ambulance Service, first as a paramedic and later as an emergency medical officer. I obtained my PhD from the Doctoral School of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Pécs in 2022. In the autumn of 2024, I joined Cochrane Hungary as a research fellow. Alongside my research work, I also practice part-time as a physician at the Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Pécs.
